10KM KL Marathon!

It is already the end of June when I realized that I have not blogged anything in this month.

Today I finished a 10KM marathon. I thought I wanted to give up. After the first 3KM, my stomach began giving up a lot of gastric juice. I felt pain and kept complaining. When Xavier, my coach, suggested whether I needed someone to send me back to the starting point, I rejected.

It was then I asked myself, if everyone else can do it, why can't I do it? When I looked behind me, there were still so many people. I thought, if everyone else have out-run me, I will give up. And I guess thanks to Xavier, I didn't have the chance to hit the bottom. He was indeed very aggressive. He kept on pushing me towards the end.

I guess a strong mindset is indeed very important. I read a lot of running guides before the run. However, I didn't really practice running before so. I managed to finish the marathon in 1 hour and 42 mins. Jin Shinn said looking at the duration, he can tell that I walked more than I ran. It was indeed true.

I am just so grateful that I finished it. A really very big thank you to Xavier who constantly drag me to sports. Thank God for answering to my prayers. Thanks to iSuffle and the singers who kept me motivated throughout the run. Thanks to all who gave me support. I am indeed very glad.

I am joining the Adidas "King of Road" on 2nd August. According to JS, there is a qualifying time of 1 hour 20 mins. Okay, let's do some maths. That would be running 7.5KM per hour. While I am running 6KM per hour. So every KM I have to run 2.2 minutes faster?

I really hope I can do it! Oh.. But first, let me recover from muscle pain and leg injury first. *sob sob*

Jane, not bad. No matter you ran or walked; you have finished the marathon. So proud of you. Keep the good work.

Thanks Sally, do you want to run one too? I guess you should run at least once in a life time. Next time you can tell your kids! Hahha.. As long as you finished the race, you will have a finisher medal!
